Jan runs on-going art courses throughout the year based at her studios at Leath Barn, West Somerton (click to view map). The classes specialise in the painting of flowers, gardens, plants, fruit and landscapes, and demonstrations are given of all the different techniques of watercolour art, designed to suit both beginners and improvers.
The one, two and three-day courses held at Leath Barn run from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm (see below for list of dates). The sessions are very relaxed but a lot of work is completed over the three days. For those who wish to refresh their skills, or for complete beginners, these courses will show all the basic techniques for painting beautiful flowers and gardens in watercolour or pen, ink and wash. Demonstrations and individual tuition will inspire you to develop your own style and enable everyone to go home with paintings to be proud of.
Materials can be purchased from Jan or from any good art shop. Jan can also mount pictures ready for framing if required. If you would like accommodation, a holiday cottage which adjoins the studio is available during off-peak times from £25 per person per night (including cleaning, laundry, electricity, etc.).
See the Leath Barn page for further details.
